This episode is all about the power of breath and intuitive methods for relieving stress and creating a blissful mind.
Niraj Naik embarked upon a journey of profound healing. He learned from people who had great success in curing themselves or others from chronic illness. Niraj studied and learned to implement natural treatments, including Ayurvedic practices and dietary advice from Paleo and SCD (Specific Carbohydrate Diet) branches. He studied spiritual healing methods like meditation and yoga. Plus, Niraj learned mind power techniques like self-hypnosis and NLP. He even discovered the powerful music therapy techniques as tools for reducing stress and promoting physical and emotional healing thanks to his lifelong love for music.
In this podcast, we cover:
- How your mind can heal and strengthen your body
- If you want to be successful, find a model for your success
- About the correlations between the pharmaceutical industry and our food industry
- Why we need to rise above the chatter to think differently and find the truth about our health
- How ancient breathing techniques will increase your energy, health, and wellbeing in minutes
- About pranayama breathing techniques
- How you can improve your efficiency of using oxygen
As a pharmacist, Niraj felt like a robot, and he had many problems with the industry. Medications aren’t the answer; it’s only a band-aid. Niraj set out to help his patients naturally. For instance, he would tell them to stop drinking soda and start drinking water with lemon juice. Plus, Niraj would say to his patients to start making food for themselves. The people that took his advice would start to get better. The pharmacy wasn’t happy – his customers no longer needed the medications.
Later, Niraj was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis; Niraj was housebound with this debilitating illness. Doctors told him that the condition was incurable, and he would have to take medication for the rest of his life. Just like Niraj’s pharmacy patients, he suffered the awful side effects of medication, leaving him completely hopeless – even suicidal. Niraj had two options – take a new and untested drug, or undergo a colectomy (surgical removal of the colon). Luckily, Niraj didn’t take either option. Instead, he embarked on his journey of profound healing.
Then, Niraj and I speak about the correlation between the pharmaceutical industry and our food industry. Why are they making people so unhealthy at such a scale? Humans can be abundant. However, we are driven by a scarcity mindset. We are told that we can’t be healthy without drugs. We are also told that we can’t grow our food; it needs to be given to us. Fear-based scarcity is driving people towards insanity. When we are in our reptilian brain, it’s hard to think straight.
Plus, Niraj talks about breathwork and energy control. Niraj uses pranayama breathing. The ancient mystics understood that breathing is related to your production of energy in the body. Our heart rate is going up and down while we are breathing. When you breathe in, you can stimulate the production of adrenaline. When you breathe out, you can promote the parasympathetic and work on the nervous system’s rest and digest side.
Stay tuned as Niraj explains how to hack into a blissful state, the effects of breathing on insulin resistance, and advice for finding your soul’s calling.
Niraj’s message for the world is that we already have everything we need to succeed.
What a great interview! So inspirational! Love listening to you and your guests????
Thanks so much! I looked up SOMA breathing yesterday, I was overwhelmed! I was just wondering about the bottle of coke and what is does to our bodies. I know sugar is a powerful thing, but oxygen is even more powerful! I love showing women how to open the jar of pickles themselves-using the power of your breath!
Dr. Mindy,
You are doing so much great work with bringing alternative healthy views and lifestyles. Plus bringing unique guests with additional options that are complimentary to the fasting lifestyle. So very much good stuff.
Please, PLEASE, don’t lose your hard won credibility with the temptation to suggest things like a collusion with big pharma and the food industry that work together to keep us sick and addicted to medications and crappy food.
Make no mistake, you are right, we are being drugged and overdosed and put into a life of horrible medications. But, it is not a planned organized conspiracy with bit pharma and big foods. It’s as simple as big railroads two hundred years ago. It’s basic greed.
At the end of the podcast there was a discussion about breaking out of the box of safety that often happens later in life. Generally, in life, each person makes choices to enhance their financial security. In a small way, that is greed. It’s normal. Individual doctors are not monsters, they do what they think is best and mistakenly prescribe too many medications for our children because they were taught that by the schools. And that is really not any different than how doctors are still trained to focus on cholesterol which was basically a mistake propagated in the 60s. The doctors thought they were doing good medicine, not working with big pharma to keep people sick. Exceptions apply, but that is true in any profession.
As to the value of this podcast. Oh yeah, I’m checking out the 21 day program. I’m a meditatior and have fought monkey mind for years. Breath work like fasting makes intuitive sense and therefore warrants investigation in both the scientific research community and on a personal level.
Great podcast! Definitely signing up for the training and 22 day challenge. Thanks for bringing this to our light.
That was a great podcast, and Extremely interesting. Loved your input since you’ve been doing a method for a month, and what you have noticed with that one. I have been very interested, since I also have monkey mind, sleep and cortisol issues. Will definitely check out the program, and would be very interested if there was a discount, as he graciously dropped. Thank YOU for All you do, Dr. Mindy.
Thank you again Dr Mindy for another great podcast. This is truly inspirational and I have started doing SOMA breath work and it has made a great difference.
You and your guests are truly amazing. We can surely save the world and the human race by the wonderful things and ways we can do to change for the better. Keep up with the amazing work you do. Thank you so much ????????❤️❤️
