It’s hard to eat healthy when you’re hunger hormones are at play.

I hear this often. People struggle to diet because they can’t get their hunger under control.

But hunger is not an issue of being more disciplined. It’s a hormonal issue.

3 hormones you need to keep in balance to kill your hunger:

1.  Gherlin

This hormone is secreted by the stomach when the stomach gets low in food. It sends a signal to the hypothalamus of the brain. Once this signal reaches the hypothalamus it triggers a hormone that will tell you to eat.

So if you keep your stomach full then this hormone will never get secreted, right?

Well that works if you don’t want to lose weight. But if you want to lose weight, you need to figure out how to turn off gherlin secretion without eating.

The more gherlin in your blood, the more hungry you will be.

You can turn gherlin off by increasing the hormone CCK and getting your body to secrete ketones.

2. CCK

This hormone is triggered when you eat fat and protein. It is secreted by cells of the small intestine.

Once secreted, CCK will slow down the emptying of your stomach. The slower the emptying, the less gherlin that will be secreted. The less gherlin, the less hungry you will be.

Bottom line, CCK turns off your hunger. You want a lot of this hormone. And how you get it is by eating more good fat and clean protein.

3. Leptin

Leptin is the hormone that tells your brain to burn fat for energy. Fat is a preferred fuel source for your body. Leptin lives in your fat cells and continually sends signals up to the hypothalamus.

Once the hypothalamus receives the message that fat is around to burn, it will turn off hunger signals.

It doesn’t need you to be hungry anymore. It can live off fat for a long time.

Sounds great, right?

For many of you, the leptin receptor sites are blocked with chemicals. Once these sites are blocked the hypothalamus has no ideas the fat is even there to burn.

This is what happens to the person who struggles to lose weight. If you want to get your brain reading these leptin receptors you need to start detoxing.
