Dr. Angela grew up as the daughter of an entrepreneur. Her dad would leave the house at seven every morning, come home for dinner, and go back to work at seven every night. He always did something with extreme passion. So, Dr. Angela knew she needed to find something that she loved.
When Dr. Angela was trying to figure out what she wanted to do, people would hire her to write a book. Anyone can write a book. For twenty years, Dr. Angela made plenty of money from ghostwriting books. Still not knowing what she wants to do, Dr. Angela found a career personality quiz. Eventually, Dr. Angela realized maybe this ghostwriting thing is a serious career.
There is absolute desperation with entrepreneurship that will lead you to hire a coach
When you have to hire other people for your business, it requires so many skills. For instance, you will need to work on team-building, community-building, and building a culture. You cannot force people to do things; they need to be motivated to get the work done. The pain of managing a team is so high that people are open to coaching work.
If you want something, you need to be willing to invest in it. This mindset happens all the time in the health industry. For instance, people want to be healthy, but they are unwilling to pay for it. People can learn all about health by watching YouTube videos. However, if you continually invest in yourself, your happiness will come from within.
People are so critical on themselves in health and entrepreneurship.
Often, people will consider themselves a failure if they do not fast for long enough. The thing is, there is no such thing as a failed fast. If you went seventeen hours without food, then it’s not a failure. There is momentum forward with every fast.
Dr. Angela loves the book If I’m So Smart, Why Can’t I Lose Weight?: Tools to Get it Done. The book says that we need to stop eating our feelings. In fact, we need to develop a relationship with our bodies. When you make a decision to go without food, limiting beliefs will show up. Then, you have an opportunity to address those. If you want to know why you’re overeating, then you need to stop overeating.
Stay tuned as we speak about authentic leadership and the greatest gifts we can give as leaders. Stop trying to put up the smoke and mirrors! Plus, we talk about the importance of creativity during COVID.
Dr. Angela’s message for the world is you were born to make a difference, and it’s your responsibility to take action toward that.
