Seven years ago, Dr. Susan Monias was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Her body was in control of her. Dr. Susan has successfully reversed all signs of the disease and has not suffered a relapse in more than four years. Dr. Susan considers her MS diagnosis a blessing because she has learned so much from some of the world’s best doctors.

Dr. Susan explains the diet changes she made after her Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis. It was a vegan diet – you have to do what you have to do to get well. Dr. Susan was vegan for two years. She didn’t like the changes she needed to make, but she followed her doctor’s instructions. However, Dr. Susan still ate chips because the ingredients were minimal. Diet changes are tricky because when you’re up against a diagnosis, your motivation is high. After all, the alternative is more painful.
Before embarking on heavy metal detoxing, in 2016, Dr. Susan heard about the ketogenic diet.
She decided to try the diet because she needed something to get rid of her fatigue. A few months in, Dr. Susan realized she was in ketosis. As a constant snacker, Dr. Susan had a hard time fasting. Once she figured out fasting, Dr. Susan finally understood that she didn’t need as much food as she usually eats. After seeing another doctor, they told Dr. Susan that it was necessary to eat meat. Currently, Dr. Susan is trying the carnivore diet.
Plus, Dr. Susan reveals how it took three tries to accomplish a five-day water fast. After this one water fast, she never felt in pain again. People get discouraged with fasting. When you start intermittent fasting, you don’t need to be thinking about a five day fast. Take each fast a little at a time. When you end a fast early, do not be discouraged. Get back up and try again. If you keep working the principles, they align with the way your body wants to heal. It’s vital to drop your old mindset to find true healing.

There is a process to detox properly, and you need people to guide you through it. Detoxing is challenging to do on your own. You never want to go backward. So when it feels like you are moving backward, that’s when you need guidance. Sometimes, we get worse before we can get better. Dr. Susan’s family members did not understand the need for heavy metal detox. Luckily, Dr. Susan had guidance from others on her journey.
