And there is one organ in your body that is being affected the most by this barrage of toxins: your thyroid.
Your thyroid is the canary in the coal mine. When it stops working well, it’s a sign that toxins are building up in your body. But the thyroid doesn’t fail you overnight. It’s subtle at first, and then gets worse over time.
So how do you tell if you thyroid is not working properly?
-weight gain despite diet and exercise
-sleep problems and/or fatigue
-cold hands and feet
-cold in general
-thinning of hair
-thinning of outer 1/3 of your eyebrow
-dry skin & brittle nails
If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, it’s possible your thyroid is starting to fail you.
The crazy thing is you are not alone. We have a massive epidemic of thyroid problems in the US. It’s estimated that 27 million Americans have a thyroid condition, yet only half of those have been officially diagnosed.
The scary part of thyroid disease is that it predisposes you to many other degenerative diseases such as obesity, blocked aorta, heart attack, depression, psychosis, seizures, memory loss, mood changes, and perimenopause.
If you are taking medication for a thyroid condition, you still haven’t solved the underlying cause of your thyroid malfunction. This leaves your body wide open to future degenerative diseases. If you’re like many of the people I coach, you may be dutifully taking the medication and yet still feel horrible.
The great news is that there’s so much you can do to fix your thyroid! My passion is empowering you to take control of your own health. I am on a mission to give you the tools to heal yourself. You were born in a self-healing, self-regulating body that wants to repair itself.
