Are you ready to experience the brilliant health you deserve? If yes, then this episode, strategies to get your hormones working for you, not against you, is going to be one you aren’t going to want to miss.
Dr. Kyrin began to learn functional medicine firsthand by running her own hormone and thyroid tests at home. Dr. Kyrin quickly discovered that she had thyroid, progesterone, and low cortisol issues, so she began to address them with herbs, vitamins, and supplements. Dr. Kyrin later did stool testing to find out what was causing all her stomach issues. After the results came back, Dr. Kyrin was able to pinpoint the best diet for her digestive system. She took the next steps making appropriate diet changes, and the pounds began melting off, her energy came back, and her self-confidence returned.
It wasn’t long before people from all over the country wanted to work with Dr. Kyrin, so she decided to take her practice to the web to work with patients virtually and in a way that is convenient for them. That is when Her Brilliant Health was born.

When people go to medical school, they learn all about how the body works. At their residency, doctors are told to do things a certain way. Doctors do not stop to question things until it happens to them or a loved one. Dr. Kyrin knew something was wrong with her body – she was obese, her hair was falling out, and she looked twenty years older than she was. When Dr. Kyrin discovered functional medicine, she realized that loads of things she learned in medical school were wrong.
One of the strategies for getting your hormones to work for you: If you’re willing to ask the right questions, then you can find the correct alternative therapy.
Many functional medicine tools have been used for thousands of years by cultures all over the world. There is no reason we need to throw out these techniques. We are all meant to work together and heal each other. When we respect the plants and use them properly, they can give us what we need to improve. Hopefully, society will wake up and realize that these plants and herbs can be valid and helpful.
Then, Dr. Kyrin explains what happens to women during menopause. Women need to start doing things that will improve their ovarian function. Various things will assist in your menopause journey:
- Decreasing inflammation in your body.
- Getting your gut health right.
- Removing toxicity from your body.
- Eating anti-inflammatory things.
Also, Dr. Kyrin describes why progesterone is so critical to the female body. Progesterone helps us make babies and makes us feel so good. Once progesterone is gone, then your body will miss it dearly. There are creams out there you can use to revamp your progesterone levels. However, never buy these health products from the grocery store or Costco.
After going through menopause, your period has stopped forever. Therefore, you are always in menopause. Just because you feel “normal” after menopause, it doesn’t mean there is nothing you need to do. Even if you feel okay, you can have side effects from out of whack hormones. So, if you don’t feel like yourself, you will most likely need to replace your hormones.
Stay tuned as Dr. Kyrin gives advice for everyone going through quarantine to improve our overall health status.
Dr. Kyrin’s message for the world is that you do not have to settle for feeling less than your best self. You deserve brilliant health and vitality.
