Believe or not, losing weight is one of my favorite topics.

Sadly, the old ways of losing weight are not working for people anymore. Eating less and hopping on the treadmill for hours used to be a complete weight loss solution. Now it’s just leading so many of you to feel frustrated and hopeless.

But don’t give up! Weight loss is not an issue of eating less. Weight loss is far more complex than that.

If you want to lose weight for good, you’re going to have to address one major issue: TOXINS.

If you haven’t been following current events in healthcare and the food industry, let me catch you up on a few things.

Toxins are everywhere. There are many more toxins in our environment than even just a few decades ago. Harmful toxins are in our food, our beauty products, our medications, and even our homes.

How do these toxins affect how you lose weight?

There are three areas in the body that toxins affect the most:

1. Your Gut. Yep, here we are again. Back at the microbiome of the gut. But did you know that your microbiome is so important to weight loss that researchers have taken gut bacteria from a thin person and put it into an obese person, and the obese person loses weight?

2. Your Thyroid. Most people know that the thyroid controls their metabolism. But did you know that the thyroid is incredibly susceptible to changes in the gut and increases in toxins? If your gut is out of balance, you will not absorb the hormones your thyroid releases. And if toxins increase in your body, they go straight to the thyroid and cause it to malfunction.

3. Your hormone receptor sites. You have tiny receptor sites on the outside of your cells. These receptor sites connect with key hormones like insulin and leptin which orchestrate a fat burning response in your body. Toxins block these receptor sites, making it incredibly difficult for you to use these helpful hormones and drop weight.

If you want to lose weight for good, you are going to have to incorporate gut repair and detoxing into your weight loss plan.
