Is FASTING right for you?

I haven’t eaten any food in 4 days and I feel incredible!

For the past 4 days I have been coaching patients through a 4 day fast. Each of them going at their own pace, doing their own version, and all experiencing great results.

The first question many of you ask when you hear me talk about fasting is WHY?

If food is medicine, then what is fasting?

The first thing to understand is that your body was born with in internal repair system. One that will fight infections, kill cancer cells, and repair injured organs, tissues, and cells.

Our bodies WERE NOT designed to eat 6 meals a day. I know that is opposite of what you’ve been taught. But all you have to do is look at the upturn in chronic disease and obesity to know that something we are doing is not working for our health.

Our bodies WERE designed to go through feast and famine cycles. Most of you have the feast part down, but are missing the famine cycle.

This where fasting comes in.

So when do you know if fasting is right for you and which type of fasting is best?

I recommend fasting when patients feel stuck with their health. They are eating right, exercising, taking supplements, getting adjusted and they still don’t feel well. That’s when you need to look at a fasting.

It’s also a powerful tool for preventing or fighting cancer.

According to a study done out of the University of Southern California, your whole immune system will regenerate with a 3 day fast. At 3 days your body starts producing stem cells. Stem cells are the repair cells of the body.

Stem cells have been reported to be the cure for many diseases including Alzheimer’s, heart disease, joint arthritis, and even cancer. The California Stem Cell Agency reports that there is “no limit to the types of diseases that could be treated with stem cell research.”

And you can make these suckers on you own all from fasting.

How do you fast? And which fast is best for you?

There are 4 types of fasting that I recommend to my patients. I look at fasting like a muscle you need exercise. So start with the first one, master that. Then move to the next one. Here are the 4 phases of fasting that I coach my patients through.
  1. Intermittent Fasting (13-15 hours without food)
  2. Dinner to Dinner Fast (24 hours without food)
  3. 4-Day Bone Broth Fast
  4. 4-Day Water Fast
