Did you know that your body was actually designed to wake up with energy and stay that way all day?
But it doesn’t always happen that way does it?So what can you do to boost your energy?
Here are some quick tips I teach my patients who want to have endless energy again.1. Feed your mitochondria
The part of your cells that produce energy is called your mitochondria. The mitochondria need VERY specific nutrition in order to function normally.
Remember how your mom told you to eat your vegetables? Well she was on to something. The mitochondria thrive on a diet high in vegetables. I recommend 4-5 cups raw vegetables per day.
Your mitochondria also need amino acids. The best place to get amino acids from are meats and eggs. Organ meats are packed with amino acids, but if you are like me, there is no way I am diving into a diet high in organ meats. So I fill myself up on grass fed beef and eggs.
Lastly, your mitochondria need good fats. Yep, I know, I sound like a broken record. But if you haven’t tried a diet high in good fat, you are missing out. I recommend a diet over 50% good fat to keep the mitochondria functioning well.2. Be sure you are absorbing your nutrients
Ok, so we are back on the gut again. Listen if your gut is out of balance, your health will be out of balance. There are several things to think about when it comes to a healthy gut. In both my books I give a lot of detail as to how you go about repairing your gut. Be sure you read those chapters for more details.
But for now, let me tell you that when it comes to absorption of nutrients, think microbiome. We literally have over 1000 species of bacteria that live in our gut. They help us pull nutrients from our food and get them into our cells. Be sure you are getting a good dose of probiotics
and fermented foods everyday to keep the good bacteria thriving.3. Strenghten your adrenals
Yep, the good old adrenal glands. So many of you have been over using them. It’s time to build them back up. But what do you do to repair your adrenals? Well, this is where you may need some help from your holistic doctor, but I will tell you my formula:
- Ga supplement from Systemic Formulas (4 per day)
- Chiropractic adjustments to T9 vertebra
- Cold laser therapy
Works like a charm every time.
Nothing breaks my heart more than hearing someone struggling with their energy. I battled chronic fatigue for years. It’s no fun.
Try the above tips. They are a great start to getting your energy back. Reach out if you need any help.
Have an amazing day!
