The next time someone sneezes on you

The other day I was in line at the grocery store and an elderly couple was in front of me. The woman had a mask around her mouth like she was fighting a cold and trying to keep the germs away.

Something about them caught my eye. I looked down at the food she and her husband were buying. Their cart was full of Fritto's corn chips, Betty Crocker cake mixes, pre made frosting, white dinner rolls, and pasteurized milk. There were no fruit, no veggies, in fact NO live food in their basket at all.

I started imagining what the conversation at her doctor's office might have been. The advice she most likely was given to fear germs. Do everything you can to prevent exposure to more bacteria & viruses.

As I watched them more, I wondered, why didn't their doctor teach them how powerful her food choices would be on her healing. A mask will block exposure to germs from the outside, but poor food choices will destroy her health on the inside.

Why are we not given this information. If the doctor's in our community are the leaders of health, why are they more focused on fearing infection than teaching us how to build health.

Our bodies are truly amazing. We are exposed to trillions of harmful bacteria and viruses everyday. Yet we were born with this incredible system called our immune system that will destroy those harmful germs.

If you want lasting health, don't run from the germs. Build a body that is not a good host to those germs.

The food that you eat matters. Everything you put in your mouth either builds you health or it builds you disease.

The next time you are around people who are sneezing and coughing, don't run. Don't blame them for you "catching" a cold. YOU HAVE MORE POWER THAN THAT.

When people around you are sick, focus on what you can do to be healthy. What can you do to build an immune system that can fight in the increase in bacteria.

My favorite immunity building tips are:

1. get sleep (that's when your body repairs)
2. get adjusted (if the brain can find the infection, it can kill it)
3. eat live foods (i.e. fruits and veggies)
4. take your supplements (vitamin C, A, probiotics, lauricidin are my immune favorites)
5. don't stress (huge immune killer)

Those 5 tips are more powerful than a mask. Stronger than an antibiotic.

If you apply these 5 tips on a consistent basis, you will begin to notice that everyone around you gets sick and you don't.

YOU ARE POWERFUL. Your body is built to heal. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
