The Key to burning fat FAST

If you have been to any of my workshops before, you know that I am a true believer that there is a science to losing weight. It's not just a game of eating less calories. Or running on a treadmill for hours.

It's about training your body to burn fat for energy. It's called ketosis.

There are two ways your body will burn energy. One from sugar and the other from fat. If you always eat sugar filled foods and drinks, your brain will never reach for your fat stores and utilize those for energy.

Getting your body into ketosis is key if you want to burn fat.

Here are my recommendations for getting into ketosis:

1. Be sure that 50% or more of your calories are coming from good fat.
2. 30% of your calories come from a protein
3. Leaving 20% from a carbohydrate source like vegetable or fruit

It is said that in order to get into nutritional ketosis you need to keep your carb count to as low as 50 grms.

To give you an idea of how few grams of carbs this is, one apple is 25grms.

The 15-day detox that is outlined in my book THE RESET FACTOR is designed to get you into ketosis, but for many of you it's will only taken you to that middle step where you have stopped craving carbs. 

In order to accelerate your weight loss think good fat, protein, vegetables. Even limiting fruits will move you closer to nutritional ketosis.

I now have a ketone reader at the office. Those of you who are patients, we will be measuring your ketones and blood sugar to see how close you are to being in ketosis.
