I’ve been out on the road again, talking at corporations, women’s groups, and interacting with many of you on social media.

And there has been one symptom that keeps plaguing far too many of you.

It’s low energy.

It still surprises me how few of you consistently have good energy. The kind of energy that lasts all day long.

So I wanted to take today to give you my four favorite tips for turning your energy around fast.

Here they are:

1. Healthy Buttered Coffee

Isn’t coffee bad? Well it turns out that there is more to the coffee story than we originally thought. Just like fat, there is healthy coffee and not-so-healthy coffee.

Starbucks, for example, is not healthy coffee. Their beans are sprayed with pesticides, placed in a bleached cup and topped with a plastic lid. It’s basically a cup of chemicals. Yum.

But there is a way to make your coffee healthy.

Healthy buttered coffee looks like this:

Organic mold free beans (Bulletproof, Camino Islands, or Cosmic Coffee)
Grass-fed organic butter
MCT oil or coconut oil
Raw organic cream

Coffee itself is high in antioxidants. Add all the good fat you add to it delivers the caffeine directly to your brain. One cup of this delicious drink will not only perk you up, but fill you up.

2. Skip Breakfast

What?
Isn’t breakfast the most important meal of the day?
I thought food gave me energy?

Well…yes and no.

The RIGHT food at the RIGHT time of day will give you energy. The wrong foods will deplete you of energy.

Let’s go back to the caveman days for a moment. When cave people woke up in the morning, did they have food available to them? No, they had to go out and hunt for their food everyday.

In a 24 hour period, the human body is designed to go through a fast cycle and a feast cycle. These days we call that intermittent fasting. I call it a compressed eating window. You basically compress the time period in which you give your body food.

Training your body to go 15 hours without food on a regular basis will boost your morning ketone levels. Ketones are fuel for your brain. They make you alert.

The best way to elevate your ketones is to lower your glucose. The best way to lower your glucose is by restricting food.

3. Get Passionate

No, not the passion you are thinking of…

Passionate about life. Think about it for a moment. Have you ever been feeling stuck in life, low in energy, and all of sudden someone brings you a new project that excites you.

In an instant, you go from depressed and low in energy to lit up and excited to take on this new project.

It doesn’t have to be a big project, you just need to have something in your life that excites you on a daily basis.

Maybe it’s a new project in your house, a new tool you try with your health, or you start studying something new. Or maybe it’s planning for a vacation you will take in six months. Anything that excites you works.

The human spirit needs growth. It thrives when it feels like it’s expanding. Find something that makes you come alive, and you will see your energy soar!

4. Turn your power on

What the heck does that mean?

Well, just like you have light switches in your house, you have similar nervous system switches in your body. You you flip these switches, your energy will go up.

If you haven’t had a chiropractic adjustment before, you need to go get one. Chiropractic adjustments instantly flip your nervous system on and makes you feel energized.

Chiropractic adjustments also improve blood flow to your brain, activate the part of your brain that sees possibility, and improves your happiness hormones like dopamine and serotonin.

All of that instantly after one adjustment. Try it!

So there you have it. My four favorite ways to boost your energy fast.

Hope it helps. Have an awesome day!
